I started taking photography seriously in 2009, after taking early retirement from a thirty-five year career in the computer industry. I enjoy the additional challenge of monochrome photography and so I joined the Print Project Group in 2012. However in January 2014 the group was in danger of closing, when the founders wanted to step back from organising it, and I suddenly found myself running the group!
I enjoy taking photographs of people and places – which covers most things. However, when trying to get the best out of monochrome photography I still have a lot to learn and enjoy the challenge of doing so.
